Precision Calibration was founded by a U.S. Army veteran with over a decade of hands-on instrumentation and calibration experience across FDA-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing, industrial process control, and hazardous location environments.
Before founding Precision Calibration, the work included serving as Quality Director for an ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory. ISO 17025 is the international standard for calibration laboratory competence, the same standard required by pharmaceutical manufacturers and recognized by regulatory agencies worldwide. That experience shaped how every calibration here is planned, executed, and documented. The procedures, the traceability chain, the uncertainty analysis, and the record format are built to the same standard that survives pharmaceutical audits, because that is the only standard worth building to.
Fieldwork covers Class I Division 1 and Division 2 hazardous locations in chemical and industrial environments, which means working safely and competently in the same classified spaces your distillery production areas fall under. This is not a new environment for us.
The regulatory side of this work includes direct experience with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 electronic records requirements, ISO 9001 quality management systems, and the documentation expectations that come with federal agency oversight. Understanding what an auditor looks for and building records that answer those questions before they are asked is a skill developed over a decade in regulated industries.
We bring that level of rigor to breweries and distilleries because your instruments carry real consequences. A flow meter that has never been calibrated is a TTB audit finding waiting to happen. A gas detector that has not been verified is a safety risk your employees are working around every day. These are not abstract compliance checkboxes.
